How Buddy helps students with homework
Buddy reads the assignment you already have open, explains each question step by step, drafts an answer, and then waits — nothing counts as done until you approve it. Here's what that looks like in practice.
It starts with the assignment you already have
Most homework tools ask you to retype the question into a separate app. Buddy works the other way around: it reads the assignment that's already in front of you — a worksheet, a PDF, a question you paste in — and starts from there.
On the My assignments page you can paste a question, type one out, or attach a photo of the worksheet. Buddy reads the picture, including handwriting, and works through exactly what it asks.
Step by step, not just the answer
Getting a bare answer doesn't help on the next test. Buddy breaks every question into clear, numbered steps — what to do first, why, and how each step leads to the next — so the explanation is something you can actually follow and reuse.
Every response comes with an honest confidence level. If a photo is hard to read or a question is ambiguous, Buddy says so instead of guessing quietly.
Nothing is used until you approve it
This is the rule Buddy never breaks: a drafted answer sits as a draft until you read it and tap Approve. Buddy never submits an assignment, never clicks Turn In, and never inserts anything silently.
If an explanation doesn't make sense, you can discard it and ask again. You stay the author of everything that ends up in your work.
Works where school happens
Buddy is built for the tools students already use — Lumin PDF, Google Docs, Canvas, and Kami — so help shows up inside the assignment instead of in another tab.
