What Buddy processes
When you ask Buddy for help on an assignment you have open, Buddy reads the visible questions and answer fields on that page. That content is sent to Buddy's protected cloud server so an AI model can draft a response. Buddy does not scan pages in the background and does not read pages you have not asked it to help with.
Where AI credentials live
AI credentials remain on Buddy's protected cloud server. They are never shipped inside the extension and are never exposed to your browser.
Approval before action
Buddy never submits an assignment and never inserts an answer without your explicit approval. Failures and uncertainty are shown to you rather than hidden.
Information you give us
If you join the private beta, we store the email address you submit so we can contact you about test access. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data with anyone. You can ask us to delete your email at any time by writing to hello@buddystudy.app.
Students and schools
Buddy is a study aid. Assignment content is used only to produce the draft you asked for and is not used to build advertising profiles. If your school or guardian asks us to remove data associated with you, contact hello@buddystudy.app.
