Private testing

Buddy is currently in private testing and is provided free of charge. Features may change, break, or be withdrawn while testing continues.

Your account

You need an account to use Buddy, and you're responsible for keeping your password to yourself. Give us an email address you can actually receive mail at — that's how we send password resets and account notices. Don't share your account with other people.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the work you submit. Buddy drafts suggestions and waits for your approval; reviewing each draft for accuracy and for compliance with your school's academic honesty rules is your job, not ours. AI explanations can be wrong or incomplete, so check them.

Acceptable use

Do not use Buddy where it is prohibited, such as in proctored exams or assessments that forbid assistance. Do not attempt to bypass the approval step, resell access, or use Buddy to access accounts that are not yours. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

The paid plan

Paid checkout is not open yet. The planned Buddy Plus price is $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, in USD. Exact allowances will be displayed before purchase. There is no paid trial currently offered. Free beta access never starts a paid subscription automatically; you must explicitly choose one at checkout.

Prices may change in future; if they do we'll email you before the change affects your next bill, and you can cancel instead. Any renewal, payment-retry and access rules will be disclosed before paid checkout opens. We do not currently promise a fixed retry schedule.

Cancellation and refunds

When paid billing is available, cancellation instructions and status will appear in account settings. Until that flow is available, contact info@meetbuddy.us for billing help. A request is not a confirmed cancellation until the payment provider confirms it.

When you cancel, your access continues until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, and you are not charged again. After that the account moves to the free plan; your saved assignments are not deleted by cancelling.

We do not give partial or prorated refunds for the current billing period. Cancelling part-way through a month stops the next charge rather than refunding the one already paid, and completed months aren't refundable. If something went wrong on our side — a duplicate charge, a charge after cancelling, a billing error — email info@meetbuddy.us and we aim to sort it within 3 working days. Your content and your data

Your questions and assignments stay yours. We only use them to produce the help you asked for, as described in the privacy policy. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time from account settings.

Ending your access

You can stop using Buddy and delete your account whenever you want. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or is used to harm other people, and where it's fair to do so we'll tell you why.

No warranty

Buddy is provided "as is" during testing, without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for grades, penalties, or losses resulting from its use.
